The National has served Mediterranean inspired food, wine, and cocktails in their intimate dining room and bar since 2007. Their aim is to provide a casual neighborhood gathering spot reminiscent of European bars and cafés, while also valuing local farmers and reflecting the seasons of Northeast Georgia.

Located in a former tire shop in downtown Athens, the Creature Comforts taproom showcases reclaimed materials and signage from the building’s early days. Their taproom provides plenty of friendly, communal seating, plus snacks at the bar, an expansive outdoor patio (with heaters), and usually a food truck.
